Organic Chemistry - Essential Knowledge'To be or not to be' is a question that has occupied the minds of scientists for centuries, and rightly so. The question stems from the complexities of nature and science and where is the best place to put 'entities' on the board of nature? Is a human being a living entity?Depending on how one views it, the answer to this question would have to be a very strong indicator of where a living thing resides in its biological scheme of things. By looking at the very definition of life, one can come to the conclusion that a living entity is not defined by the place where it resides but by what it is able to accomplish.As an example, consider a food source or a predator that is constantly shifting around in place with every predator that encounters it. The predator is a living entity, but because it is constantly changing its location, it is able to fulfill its needs by searching for food sources that are just as constant, while simultaneously functioni ng as a predator that it is.The food source and the predator both exist because they both possess the ability to attract energy to themselves. Energy attracts inanimate objects because it creates a potential difference between the objects. If the object has no energy then there will be no potential difference, therefore, no attraction and that means that there will be no life, just as long as the object doesn't have a physical shape or any type of mass.Now, if you take the food source and the predator, we can see that the food source has greater potential than the predator, therefore, it also has a greater attraction to energy than the predator. Therefore, the food source can move, which it does constantly to search for food sources, while the predator is not moving because it is constantly in motion.When an object that attracts and moves like this interacts with another object that has no motion, we see that the attraction causes the particle accelerator to accelerate. That acceler ation changes the particle's mass, which changes the current state of mass in the particle accelerator and changes the mass of the particle accelerator. Therefore, we can see that the object that causes the particle accelerator to accelerate to different velocities and the particle accelerator to change state, both are living entities and therefore, they are capable of attracting energy and that energy can change their physical shape.The change in the shape of the particle accelerator and the changes in the particle's mass result in different amounts of matter. This change in mass of the particles results in them being attracted to the energy of various types. These particles are either absorbed into the particles accelerator to change state or they are attracted by the energy of the accelerator.The particles accelerator is the living entity of the particle accelerator because the particle accelerator changes its state due to its interaction with energy. Therefore, this living entit y is also capable of creating, manipulating, and destroying particles with its own energy source.
